F100 Short Bed in Florida

Post by FloridaPhil »

I found this forum recently and it's great. I've been looking for a nice 67-72 short bed F100 for a long time. We live near Orlando and Ford short beds are pretty hard to find in good condition. Finally found the right one in North Carolina and am having it delivered this weekend. I've restored a lot of old Fords in my life, but this is my first truck. The truck I bought has a 360 (love FE's) 3 speed manual on the column and no power steering. I will be converting the truck to a C6 and power steering. The technical information on the power steering conversion is very helpful. I've been active on the Mustang and 57 Ford Forums in the past and am looking forward to chiming in once in a while. I have a website with pictures of some of my other Ford projects. I'll be posting progess on my truck regularly. The link is http://www.lakefrontflorida.com/classic_cars.html .

Thanks for the welcome. I'm not planning to make a show truck out of my 68, just a nice driver. But, you know how these things get out of control...
