I'd like to introduce Thomas, my '68 F100.

Post by 460 »

I recently bought this old truck and found this forum when I was searching for some wiring diagrams, which will soon be very helpful to me. My kids named this truck Thomas because they believe it to be the same color as Thomas the Train.

Thomas was born with a 360 and 3 speed manual, but had a non-running 400 and a C6 when I bought it. My oldest boy, who is 5, and I pulled the 400 out today and are getting ready to swap in a 460. I don't have any restoration plans yet, but that may change as time goes on.

And here it is... it looks better in the pics than it does in real life, but I'm still happy with it.

Think rubbing compound and wax, Thomas will look much better. However the problem with a shiny paint job is it will show all the flaws. BTW, my 72 F-250 is named Bruce. My youngest daughter drove Bruce the first six months of her driving career and her friends name him during that time. Now I drive Bruce on a daily basis and my daughter took over my Buick Le Sabre.

Hey, is that a Ranger grill on Thomas? Also looks like he has a real...nice dash which is getting harder to find on our trucks.
