71 F-250
Hi. My name is Jim, And I am 17 years old. Currently, my truck is a 1971 F-250 Custom Sport. It has a two inch lift, running 33X12.5 inch toyo open countries. It has the 390 motor, with a borg warner T-18 four speed transmission. It is 4x4, However, I need a front drive shaft. The transfer case is worn down to the point where i cannot read the model number, If anybody knows what it may be, please let me know. I am graduating High school in june, and then hopefully going to Wyotech to study diesel technoligy. I am only an amature mechanic, and any tips are gladly accepted. Thank you for your time, I'm looking forward to reading these forums.

from choo-choo town. Nice to see another young man here who realizes how much of a pain in the butt it is to keep our trucks running, (I mean...to follow in our footsteps) LOL! You probably have a Dana 24 case, most common in the highboys. Here's a tutorial on how to ID them that might help:

SOLD-71 F-350 dually flatbed, 302 / .030 over V-8 with a "baby"C-6, B & M truckshifter, Dana70/4.11 ratio, intermittent wipers, tilt steering, full LED lighting on the flat bed, and no stereo yet (this way I can hear the rattles to diagnose)! SOLD!
Many Ford bumps / one 76' EB / and several dents through the years.
A lot of "oddball" Ford parts collected from working on them for 34 years now!
