Hi All!
I just bought my first "project" truck and am really pumped! I picked up a '71 F100 Custom and drove her home tonight...and promptly got a parking ticket for parking without a permit. Bogus. I will fight it to the death!
Anyway, I am really excited to learn about these great trucks and can't wait to get down and dirty cleaning mine up. I hope and expect that these forums will become an invaluable resource for me as I cut my teeth on this long-term project.

Welcome! I too have a 71 F 100 Custom. My dad bought it in '72. Sorry to hear about the ticket. I'd love to see pictures.

SOLD-71 F-350 dually flatbed, 302 / .030 over V-8 with a "baby"C-6, B & M truckshifter, Dana70/4.11 ratio, intermittent wipers, tilt steering, full LED lighting on the flat bed, and no stereo yet (this way I can hear the rattles to diagnose)! SOLD!
Many Ford bumps / one 76' EB / and several dents through the years.
A lot of "oddball" Ford parts collected from working on them for 34 years now!
