Hello from Missouri!
Hi fellas! Definitly not new to this bad ass website but decided to finally sighn onto the forums. Cant say how very cool it is for there to be a sight like this for bumpside trucks.Been around these trucks my whole life staring with my Dads royal maroon f100 69 ranger work truck that gave up its motor for the next bumpside truck to use up for work. I used to play in that truck when i was 5 i even kept the inside cleaned out! LOL My current truck is a 1972 f100 custom. Its a rust free truck from the oklahoma texas border. I have had it since i was 14. I got my license in the truck and i have spent the last 10years making it a 69 ranger clone. some of the parts are from my dads old maroon truck that was located in the junkyard my dad had it hauled away to. Its still there too. Anyway after all these years seeing 67-72 chevys at car shows and rod runs. Its cool to find a site dedicated to the ford bumside trucks of the same years. Its aparent to me that the owners of bumpsides are far more passionate about there rides and enjoy using them as intended since new, than the owners of the chevy show queens. Our trucks have stayed on the roads longer and are still put to good use instead of becoming unusable show queens and lowriders.... of course some have and they are the ones i like to look at at the shows as there somthing realitvly different to see. Theres just not much on these old trucks that ever gives up its duties and they are easy and cheap to fix and stay running (for the most part). Funny story too my wife worked at a license bueruo and thought it was funny that the ford trucks like ours were being relicensed to continue on the roads and had been owend by the same folks for years. and the 67-72 chevys were getting ID OD verifications and getting retitled as they were beeing pulled out of the feilds to be restored and had been off the roads for years. just because it was cheap and thats what everybody else has at car shows not because they always loved those trucks. Oops i dindent realize my little rant would be this long sorry! Hope you guys can continue to keep your trucks on the road and nice lookin doing it! No reason you cant have your cake and icecream too with these old fords.
