Hello from Brisbane, Australia!

Post by GISpert »

Hi Everyone,
Well after much searching around for a F100 to restore as a family project, its a present for my 16 year old twins who think the F-trucks are just awsum, we have finally found one. Its a 1970 short wheelbase styleside 351 cleveland with C4 auto(So the advert said, yet to confirm) on gas, dics brake front end, third owner with only 95,000 original miles, Australian delivered. Very good straight body. We pick it up tomorrow morning :woohoo: I'm going to drive it back from the Gold Coast. I was searching around for resources and parts for the F Trucks when I came upon this site I'm amazed at the quality and content of the site it's absolutley excellent well done to all who have made it what it is, no doubt we will find it very useful for restoring our Effie. Some pics are in the below link http://www.fordification.com/galleries/ ... at=0&pos=0

welcome from kansas city, missouri! good looking truck. seems like trucks with actual beds and not "trays" are kind of in the minority over there.

Welcome from Washington State, USA.

These days a trip from "Brisbane" to "Gold Coast" these days could almost be as short as a couple of k where they are starting to run together, or even 125k if you are going from extreme to extreme.. I'll assume somewhere close to proper and wish you luck on your ~90K trek in a new old truck you don't know yet.

Remember your water, your hand cleaner, gloves and toolbox!

You probably already know the rule,,,
If you take it you won't need it...

Cheers!

Hey Guys, Thanks for the awsum welcome. Drove the truck back home no problems at all, steering is quite sloppy and suspension is shot but thats to be expected. In the process of stripping it down to see what it is that we need to do.

Regards
