New guy from Michigan

Post by 1969F350 »

Hello and thanks in advance for the information on this site and future information that might be provided. My dad and I just purchased a 1969 F350, 390, np 435 trans, Dana 70 3.70 locking diff. We are going to use it to hual our 1960 Ford Falcon Gasser to local races and car shows. Hope to be part of some good conversations and not to step on anyones toes. Thanks for having me.

Jon

Jon, :wel: from SoCal. Your truck is great, but I gotta admit I L-O-V-E your straight axle Falcon Gasser, reminds me of the 60's...I was there and saw similar cars on the street and strip. Loved em then, love em now...

Welcome from NY. Always nice to see another F350 on here. Our trucks are unique in a couple ways from the little ones, but most of what you read here will apply. There are a few big truck guys here to help you out too! Was that a welding truck? Gonna build a ramp body or tow a trailer?

Steve, the truck is set up for a goose kneck trailer and I think that what its done it entire life, the bed is not beat up or drilled on at all. I am on the fence about adding a dove tail or just tow my open trailer with my car on it at this moment. Its really neat getting involved with it and learning about the different bumpsides. The truck is different that for sure.

Welcome from Asheville NC. That's a good idea matching up that truck with that gasser. Love that old school stuff.
