Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get them out?

Hard to find any flashlight batteries any more with acid. About the only thing you can find in a D-cell battery is alkaline.Calfdemon wrote:Baking soda with water is a great acid neutralizer.... I remember my dad always using it on our vehicle batteries to clean off the acid that would form at the contacts.
