Newbie from Dixon , Ca

Post by kimmy95620 »

Hi everyone!
We ( my husband and I) have a 1970 F100 long bed that his dad bought brand new right here is Dixon. It was a pretty stripped down model ( that is how they did it back then....he just wanted a truck) One weird thing he did when he ordered it is had them put heavy duty leaf springs and 4:10 gears so he could carry some loads to his property in Georgetown...he should have just got a F250 huh?Makes is interesting on the highway, she is revved pretty high at 60! One of the next projects is to change those gears! We took out the 360 2bbl and had a 390 built to Mercury Marauder h/o specs with a 4bbl carb...much better! It has flowmaster exhaust, sounds great. We added power steering and factory a/c out of a 1971 F250 as well. It is a nice pickup, need some cosmetic work, has a few cancer spots but nothing too severe. I will download some pics soon! Thanks all! :fr:

First welcome from SoCal.

When you have a moment, please post some pictures of your bump and all the upgrades.

It really makes everyone's day to see it.
