First Bump: Class 8 Baja winning F250
Hey all, I've just bought my first Bumpside, a 71 F250 that is an old race truck. Pretty rough but worth bringing back. I'm new to bumpsides, so I'll be asking some questions and am happy to find this site! My experience with Ford trucks is pretty limited to my 65 M100 and a friend's '66 F100 I helped build up. And Early Broncos. I've got a long road ahead with this project, but thats most of the fun anyway, right? I will try to post some pics of what I've got soon.

Re: First Bump: Class 8 Baja winning F250
Sorry for the delay on these photos. I've been busy finishing up a frame off resto on a 72 Bronco and am down to the last day or two. Always hard to FINISH the job completely, but I'm almost there.
As you can see this one is rough, but as bad as it looks, it still runs and the trans works. Actually it probably is as bad as it looks, but I still think it's worth restoring. It's an early 390 with a manual valve body C6, and a 9" out back. The black portions of the cage are things that someone has done in the past 10-12 years. They will be coming off and discarded. It's hopefully going to look much like it does in the old airborne photo I first posted.

Nice! I like the pivot points in the roll cage and the big foot brake pedal... saving your pictures.

Re: First Bump: Class 8 Baja winning F250
Very nice platform to start with, plans for my truck include transforming it into a mild pre-runner. This would have been a perfect platform for me to start with, congrats on the find
