Well since I got everything off, now I am going to give my luck to working on suspension. Lets just say I have no understanding of suspension and for some reason its difficult for me to grasp.... This is why one suspension arm has taken me 2 days, 4 people, and cost me 2 ratchet straps, just to get one " ALMOST" into position.

Came out easy...

Cleaned up good aswell, did not put the brake inards back in since I cant afford to buy the parts.

So, took some time and some assembly lube but got the last piviot arm bushing in. Now just got to get that back on the truck, wait for my transmission mount to come in from CPP and then the motor will be ready to go back in. The gotta order my body mounts and can finally get the cab and dog house back in. Long day and it was a hot one and yet no one got injured..... im surprised.

Thanks Rooster, Its been hard to get any work done between work and classes, but somehow things get done here and there. Recently I got my Transmission mount from Classic Preformance Parts and I tell you what it is amazing. Its heavy gauge steel and powder coated pretty well. So what do you do when you get a new part... You bust it out and get it installed ASAP thats what. Did not take long to get the transmission bracket in and a new mount installed, still need to drill holes for it to stay in place but its in and thats half the battle.... Oh and the front suspension has all new rubber, and is freashly painted.

Well today since I got out of class at 10 and had nothing to do, I decided to try and see if I could build an air intake box for my 1997 Ford F150. The intake I got from a budy of mine for christmas when he got his supercharger... gotta love truck part gifts :D . So when I had it on before the truck ran rough sucking in to much hot air from the engine. so I built this out of a rubber maid trash can and some copper pipe foam insulation. took about 2 hours to build.

Well finished my first semester of nursing school, and my vacation lasted only a week long. One of my buddies offered to help me throw the motor to the frame so guess how we spent the week :D . Took little to no time, only had to drill holes for the brackets where the engine sat. But its in, it looks good, and man I cant wait to hear this thing come to life...

If it looks like the motor is on the ground here, it is. the hoist de-pressured while I was under the frame... I had to change my pants. :help:

Well guess its been long enough since my last post.... Guess I should give a breife update.
1). Got the bed off the truck and moved.
2). Got the cab and fenders back on, painted and cleaned up.
3). Got the body mounts on and the hood on.
4). Unfortunate set back.... The hood doesnt line up. :?
5). Got the bed off and striped the frame (ie. rear end, leaf springs, wires, lines)
6). Bumper wont come off, thought it was sturdy, the previous owner welded it on.
7). Started the tear down on the Ford 9" rear end.

Well I have been busy with school and work. So its been kinda hard to get time/remember to take pic's of it all. Ill have to load up some later and show the progress. Been hecktic here lately guys and gals and Ill have to get to it here soon.

Well took 5 10 minutes to get the bed unbolted, picked up off the frame (used only 3 people - My dad, my buddy Red, and myself), and get it sat down on some cynder blocks. Took little to no time to get the frame cleaned and everything off except the bumper which was welded onto the frame :pout: .

Here is the frame all cleaned up and looking good
Image
Here is the gas tank im going to put in between the frame rails in back its for a 1970 ford mustang 22 gallons.
Image
Here is the 9" rear end. Got it all cleaned up now just gotta get the brakes and all put together.

Well I got the gas tank almost installed under the bed, just need to get a drill bit to get some holes drilled so it wont move. Need to get the rear end back under the truck and then start running some brakes and fuel lines. I know it has to be done but Im really starting to hate the prices guess its getting to the expencive parts faster then I thought.
