Old Sharks, Familiar Waters
Greetings all,
Dont expect anyone to remember me but I am a returning member from several years back.
I have just spent the last 2 hours reading posts both new and old and for nostalgic reasons felt the need to post a hey how ya been!
Impressed that Keith has kept the site so strong and professional I have noticed many new names and even some of the old names Ive come to know from the past still posting.
Anyway, re-reading alot of the old threads here brings back many memories and makes me feel bad that its been so long since i posted.
While Im probably known to run on and post threads too long to read I wont do that (at least with this post). I just wanted to drop a hello to all the old and new members I have recently been reading about.

Sharkdance, wondered wherre you went. I followed the building of your truck, and the how-to for the firewall panel was the best. The pics you posted for that dont exist anymore.
Guessing you dont have the truck no more?

Yeah, I remember you. Didn't you have a thread with photos on how to install a firewall cover or something like that? Anyway, welcome back!Sharkdance wrote:Greetings all,

David,
Good to hear from you again man.
You know Florida still needs someone to take the MNG thing down there and run with it since I left.
How's the truck running? I do remember you having a pretty nice truck.

Re: Old Sharks, Familiar Waters
Thanks for all the welcomes and welcome backs. Man I missed this place.
Tis true. I did stop posting on the forums for a while. But it had nothing to do with Kieth, this website, or anyone here.
Was more about financial issues and family/work related events.
The bad news is yes, I had to sell my truck. The good news is, I still have my house.
Anyway, I had gotten an E mail from someone asking me if I still had the photos from an old thread that I had posted. Since apparently most of them were lost in the last website transfer?
I do. But they're all on another hard drive that is not currently plugged in to this machine. And Im not sure the best way to try and restore them on the website.
It should be Keiths discretion on whether its better to dig up old threads or just create new ones. Or maybe just upload em to the gallery and link to them there. IDK.
If Keith lets me know, I will try to follow his wishes.

Re: Old Sharks, Familiar Waters
Just goes to prove, never say never. But when you have lost your job and your several months behind on your mortgage payment, you gotta do what you gotta do.
It did break my heart to sell my ole truck. Even my kids cried when it was finally backed out the driveway for the last time.
My kids and I spent countless hours working on that ole truck. Hours of which none of us will ever forget. And that is the true value of what we accomplished.
Memories of good times and valuable lessons learned in safety, patience, and diligence. The kind of stuff that money cant buy.
In the end, she went to another family that i truly felt appreciate her and promised to take care of her.
The last thing I said to the guy when he left with her was "your not buying the truck. The truck is free. What your buying is my time and labor to make her what she is." Then we all waved one last time as she went down the road to a new parking space near the beach.
