Rookie Mistakes :-)
Hi All,
Big Ford fan, own a 2004 Ford Expedition, 2001 Ford Explorer and the new addition to the family a 1971 Ford 100. Bought a few months back, drove a for a couple of months and then "WATER IN THE OIL". Started off with just replacing a head gasket and found out it was an 85 5.0 and with quite a bit of damage. Bent push rods to start. So what began as a lil project is now a MONSTER, I acquired a 71 long block to replace the 85 and I am trying to finish it up. I have made several rookie mistakes which I know I will pay for once I turn the key for the first time. I found this forum and hope to find guidance as well as help others not to make the same mistakes.
