Backing off the adjusters was the first thing I did I loosened them off to the point the drum spins freely yet the drum is still stuck

If that's not it, than soak the axle flange and drum contact area with PB Blaster, let it soak in for a couple of hours then see if you can pry the drums off.
If still no luck, next thing to do is drive the wheel studs out using a brass drift and BFH.
