New member, ques. about my '69 Camper Spec.

Post by norwaygreenF250 »

Hello! I am the proud new owner of a 69 F250 Ranger Camper Special. I have owned it for about a month and I am the 4th owner. Already have invested in making it run properly, new exhaust manifold gaskets, manifold covers, re-surfaced heads, new steering box, re-built carb, new dual exhaust, new tires. Truck came with old nylon tires from the 70's with little tread wear. Has not been driven much since the 70's and 80's...only 100,000 original miles on it. It's a timecapsule from the past, that is for sure. The interior is pristine, all original, no cracks in the vinyl dash and bench seat. Everything is operational, including the original AM radio.

Next step in the restoration is a new hood, which is corroded on the underside, beyond body shop repair. Then a complete repainting of the truck, in the original norway green color.

Glad to be a new member!

Welcome aboard from Northern Ca. How about posting a pic of your truck. Would like to see it.

Will go take a picture now and upload it when I get back this evening, after taking my son to soccer practice. I have dial up internet, so I hope the photo upload works.

Thanks for all the welcomes! I am still trying to figure out how to share the picture I have, I guess I need to reduce the file size, need to figure out how to compress/zip the photo instead. Again, appreciate all the welcomes!

Open an account with a service like PhotoBucket (free) and upload pictures there. Then you copy the link to the photo in PohtoBucket to your post here... Easier than it sounds. You don't need to resize or compress the pics.
