i am replacing column in 68 ford ,auto,,, :fr: :hmm: the turn signal switch was replaced and it has small shaft coming up toward driver , ,, should this have something in it or on it ?????? :fr: :hmm:

right after you pull wheel its the blue tower with the hole in the top about 1/2 way through the pics :fr: thankyou mike

that is the horn brush holder. the horn brush contacts the back of the steering wheel.
