New guy in Middle Tennessee with Papaw's truck *PICS ADDED*

Post by BudsTruck »

Hello, I'm Wesley. I recently became the owner of my late grandfathers 1968 F100 Ranger. It's got the 360 and 3 on the tree. My uncle rebuilt the engine in 1998 and it's had less than 20,000 on it since then and it got a rebuilt transmission about 6 months ago. The interior is in great condition. Still has the clear plastic seat cover over the original seat that it's had as long as I can remember. I think there's at least 20 layers of skin from the back of my legs on there. My grandfather would pick us up from school in the truck and I swear he left that thing in the sun just long enough to get that seat cover scorching hot. All it really needs is paint and that'll come soon enough. For now I plan on driving it (if I can find all downhill routes...), enjoying the memories and tinkering on it here and there. It's still at his house in East Tennessee but when I get it home in the next few weeks I'll add more pictures. Y'all have a great forum. I hope in time I can add something useful. (more pics on page 2)

Welcome Wesley! I've got my Grandpa's truck too - but not quite so original. Please post some photos of the interior when you get a chance. Original seats are rare.
