I was on the coast, around 30 miles North of Coos Bay.

The truck is really a lot like me, looks alright from around 50 feet away, but can be a bit startling close up. That's why as I age, I try to keep the ol'lady at least 50 feet from me at all times. It takes some work, but it's the price you have to pay for being with someone WAY out of your league in the looks department.

From VA, Glad you've joined to the party. Really nice looking highboy you've got. I think thats the most polished slots ive ever seen. Did you polish and have them anodized ? I dont think theres ever been a set of rims that fit our trucks more than slots Whats the width on them, they look deep.

I polished the slots myself. I got them off of craigslist for a pretty decent price (100 bucks). They were rough like most of them came new, but were in great shape. I stuck them in my bead blast cabinet, glass beaded them, then went to some of those three inch scotch bright pads on an angle die grinder and went to town. After that I just used some of that plain old polish you get at a hardware store for non-ferrous metal and a buffing wheel and worked them over. That's it, and they turned out okay.
They are 9.75 wide by 16.5. I could have done without the 16.5 part but they are kinda hard to find in a 16 inch anymore. I like the way they look. The truck spent most of it's life with the stock wheels and a 9.00-16 tire. I honestly think I prefer that look over the slots (maybe) but I'm having a hard time finding a skinny 35 to 36 inch radial that I like, so I have stuck with the slots for a while.
I'm sure there is a tire out there that is not a full on, aggressive mud tread that is the size I would like, I just have not found it yet.
