kingpin removal
doing disc brake conversion on my 67,found parts at local yard.when removing kingpins,do you drive them out from the top or bottom

I've usually driven them out by striking the top with a brass drift. So out the bottom they come.
I support the I beam on a jack stand first, then remove the wheel, tire and all hardware. I usually spray some BP blaster on the king pin then let it soak overnight before hammering them out too.

I've also used a bottle jack with a small ram and pushed them out from the bottom.
