For you fellows like CarCrafter. How long did it take you to swap the front end, and lower the rear to match? I plan on a 8-9 day turn around with my 18 year old cousin and his friend helping me.
day 1 remove the front sheet metal, bed, motor, and level the truck.
D2 cut the front cross member out, remove the rearend, mock up the CV crossmember, and get it ready for bolt in.
D3 bolt in the CV crossmember, attach steering, cut in notch or step notch + weld in. Bolt in Axle back in with a flip kit.
D4 Make motor mounts, bolt in motor, and bolt in C6 tranny. Mesasure for new driveshaft.
D5 drop off drive shaft, bolt front-end back on, and get motor started+verify electricals.
D7 Install the bed, and do any cutting that maybe nessacry.
Also set-up rear shocks as I will have to order these when I actually do the rear suspension so this will add a day or two to the wait. Plus a trip to the exhaust shop if I need to re-adjust the exhaust a bit. The transmission shifting will be handled by a B+M shifter via cable so it practically falls on the truck.
They are good kids who seem to be handy enough. So they may actually speed up the process at least with the heavy lift parts.
So what do you guys think?
CV crossmember swap time.

Re: CV crossmember swap time.
I know it took me 4 days (by myself) to install the CV set up in a 67, that included boxing the frame.
And actually, cutting the old stuff out and rivets etc was the hardest part.
