Early tilt steering options?
I recently bought a 1968 f250. it has tilt steering, and disc brakes in the front. I *know* i'd read somewhere that it was an option for that year, but i can't find it again. Can anyone confirm or point me to a source where it shows that tilt and discs were options? Or, do I have a truck that was retrofitted? based on the history i've heard seems unlikely someone replaced the column but, hey, anything's possible right!

Re: Early tilt steering options?
Tilt steering was not an option. Disc brakes were available with 390 cid.
From the looks of the truck someone has spent some time and funds to fix it up. My guess is that the brakes and column were retrofitted. It appears that the grill is from a 69 and the side mirrors are not stock.
Regardless, enjoy your truck. It is very nice looking.
