If it Looks good and Works good then it's ok by me. Everything has its issues from time to time...

k. i am a noob. i admit it. um, can i post directly off of a flip video or a handheld or do i need to do something to the pics and video first? my first attempt to post a video was less than successful. thanks.

You can't upload a video directly to the site. You'll have to upload it to YouTube first, and then you can show it inline here by putting the video's URL between the [ video] and [/video] tags in your post.
