All those tools on the shelves got cleaned up in less than A HALF HOUR. Beats doing it the hard way (spray, scrub, wipe, spray, scrub, wipe)

Crystal Simple Green. Very good in parts washers, and industrial strength, and very safe for how good it works. Tried brushing the back of my hand with it diluted 1:5 (guy at Grainger told me it was pretty safe, even at 1:1) and never felt a thing, nor noticed any dryness, redness or anything. Still using gloves regardless, but I feel a lot better about any splash residue that might get on my arms.

About $100 for a 5 gallon jug, and you should be able to order it through most hardware stores (maybe only in gallon size)

You could literally drink this stuff, and while you might get a really upset stomach (and problems out the other end), it wouldn't hurt you or do any real, permanent damage.

I use straight Simple Green in mine. Scrape off the worst of the crud of course before it goes in the parts washer, and frequently wash my hands in mid project.

All my tools are now clean before they go anywhere near the tool box now; my clothing stays cleaner because of my frequent hand/arm washing, and the work stays cleaner. Just did the upper and lower ball joints on our 95 F150 4x4 (which I do not recommend doing, BTW), and all the parts went through the washer. Painted everything up before going back on the truck, looks great. Wish I would've had one twenty years ago!

I purchased a parts washer from tractor supply and now about two years later, it has stopped working. I have used several in the past and it is a must have for any shop. I have never used those cleaning products, just varsol.

My next investment. The bathroom sink is not holding up to washing greasy hands all the time.

1st job out off High School----Unloading used solvent barrells and filling the next days run with clean solvent barrells for SaftyKleen----Job Sucked although I did end up with some perks
