68 parking brake problem

Post by drsam »

I have a 1968 F250 4x4. Why is it that I can't find the rear cables for replacement? Anyone else had problems? I tried lmc, macs, npd, napa, etc. 2nd question, what makes the cable return after brake released? I've seen some with a spring from where the back cables attach to front cable and some with springs actually over the cable inside the drum? Which should mine have?

Your brake cables should have spring at both of those places.
