Power Steering Price

Post by jor »

A guy I met at a swap meet will sell me a power steering setup for my 67. It includes column, box, pump and whatever else is needed. He wants $50. Is that about right?

Hi Jor,

If I were you I'd grab it. Especially if you don't have to have it shipped. I purchased some of my setup from one person and the column from someone else and the shipping was the most expensive. If the setup works I'd say go for it. And yes, I think that's a good price for the whole thing.

JMHO,
Lee

Just got the same advice from my pal at work. I'll probably do it. I bought a 4 spd and drive shafts from the same guy for $50. He also has a 352 bored .060 (complete except intake and carb) for $100. Someone else has first dibs but I'll get it if I can.

The steering system sounds great. Even if they need to be rebuilt as cores, it's a great price. I'd pass on the 352 as it's bored out .060.

I would get it. $50 is reasonable, escpecially if he has it all taken apart (time is money they say.. '' as was previously said.. even if used as cores that will save some money.

Thanks,

Bobby
