Front panhard bar/ Lift question

Hey all, just got the front suspension back together on my 67 last night. Went to install the panhard bar, and I've found that it's way off. Now, I'm using 2" lift springs, so I'm assuming I may have to either get a new bar, or have my lengthened out.

Any info you can provide would be great, thanks!

If you used a later disc front end ,you need the bar that came with that axle.

I'm using the original axle for now. I'm thinking I may need to get a drop bracket for it.

yes you need a drop bracket for the panhard bar/track bar. they are easy to make if you have a welder. that bar and your drag link bar need to be parallel. so if you did a 3" drop pitmen arm you need to do a 3" drop bracket. and on a side not the less of a angle that bar is the better your suspension travel will be.

Okay, thanks for the info guys. I know I can get an adjustable track bar, and I'll see about the bracket. I can have the machinist at work make me one if I can buy one.

here are pictures of my 71 F100 track bar and the new bushings i put in it last year. cant you just use two pieces of flat metal with holes drilled in them to attach the track bar to it?

I'll have to see if I'm going to need a drop bracket or not. Definitively need the adjustable bar.

we found in the old broncos the big drop brkt. would give the bar to much leverage and would move around. the adj bar in the stock brkt worked better in our high powered , big tires , lifted susp. rigs wes
