hey marcelo, if i were you i'd donate them nasty things to a fellow fordificator in the midwest , buy a set of new dubs and call it a day
no seriously, if they are chrome i don't think the paint will stay on for too long.

I think some blasting will have to be done to get the paint to stick to these wheels. Im goint to spray them with rustolium for now.

They sell wheel paint now in rattle cans, supposed to hold up pretty well. But with chrome I do think you should blast or sand them down a bit.

I did some research a while back about this very thing (painting chrome), and was told that if you hit the chrome with a DA and rough it up with some 60 or 80 grit aluminum oxide paper it will hold paint. You'll want to spray it with a self etching primer such as Duponts Metal-Etch to get good tooth. You can then prime, prep and paint as you would a normal body panel. Products like "Bulldog" are made to promote paint adhesion on chrome.

Powder coat them and be done with it. Seems like it was less than $60 a wheel last time I got a quote and they did all the work. Paint after a couple of years shows rust, powder coated wheels keep a beating and still keep going.

i took my old 19s to a wheel repair shop years agoe, one of them had a dinged lip and they straightend them out and painted them black. Cant remember the shops name but it was in LA somewhere, sorry dont remember the name, but it cant hurt to look around.

Go on craigslist you can find a lot of guys/shops doing powder coating. Here's one in Fontana (I know, a bit of a drive, but doesn't hurt to call a few places and get some estimates for comparison purposes).
