lincoln mark VIII suspension

Post by bryantracing460 »

Been looking at the crown vic swaps and wondered if a lincoln mark 8 front end would also work. If anyone could give me some measurements I could check. I have a 95 mark 8 w/ bad trans.

The front end from a 95 Mark VIII is a completely different animal. The Crown Vic is all one piece that bolts to the frame and as you probably saw the Mark VIII uses the frame for mounting the control arms and spring perches. Also the Mark VIII is narrower track width. Overall I would say no it won't work.

92-97 crown civ frames are the same lenght as your short bed. You may need to fab up some mounts but it will work just fine.

Yes the mark 8 IRS works great in the f100's even with the 03-08 CV front suspension.
67 F100 sc/sb 07 Crown Vic IFS, 94 Lincoln Mark 8 IRS, isuzu 3.9L diesel w/ HY35 & HX 52 compound turbos and 370cc custom injection pump,T56 6spd trans, 18" 07 dodge magnumm wheels, old air products A/C (for a 66 mustang LOL). 32 mpg's so far, around town
