re: U-joint for steering shaft? 4 Wheel Drive
For all you folks that need ujoints for your 4x. I found a replacement u-joint for at least the 4x4 steering shaft. It is not the exact thing, but works just fine.
The caps are just a very small amount smaller in daimeter, but still fit snug. The width of the joint where the groves are is a small amount wider. You will have to use a vice or a c-clamp to get them in there far enough to get the c-clips installed. Best of all it is greasable with the zerk in the same place.
Precision 861 $11.00 big ones.![Yeah that :yt:](./images/smilies/icon_yeahthat.gif)

Ya, I did. I wrote them down and put them in a very safe place, so I wouldn't lose them or even find them. In other words I missed placed the paper I wrote the numbers on.
I can't remember exactly what the numbers were. I will measure it again later today when I am back at my pick-up.
The one I got was for a PTO application Precision 861. We searched two intire books and that was the closest one we could find. It was only like .02 off. Its still fit tight.
I have already put it together and I even replace that sloppy rubber booted one on the other end with the yokes from another shaft I had. There is no play at all now. I took it out for a drive, much better now.![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
