Front Brake Hose

What do I need to watch out for when remove the flexible line to the front drum brakes on my '67? I assume I have to remove the hose at the bracket on the frame first.

Also, what's the best way to remove the hose from the frame bracket? I noticed on top there is an e-clip and on bottom the is a shim type keeper plate. Do I have to undo the metal line first so the hose can turn?

remove the metal line from the rubber line at the bracket first. the the clip from the bracket. then the hose from the wheel cylinder.
