The '67 power steering bracket is the same as the manual steering bracket, since the only power steering available that year was with the Bendix box. Since the Bendix had the same dimensions as the MS box, there was no need for a different bracket.
I'm not sure about the '73-up brackets though. I know the '78-'79 tilt columns don't even have that outer firewall bracket...the column has a different one which mounts to the inside of the firewall, and there's no bracket at all on the outside. I'm not entirely sure if the non-tilt columns have the same setup or not. I'll have to check on that.

I pulled the column out of a 76 and it had the PS firewall bracket as shown in the pics.
But I did not know that the 78 - 79 did not have the same bracket. Keith, is the tilt bracket built onto the column or is an internal cab firewall bracket?
You know how our trucks have a thin seal retainer plate that gets mounted to the inside of the firewall with sheetmetal screws? Well, the tilt columns have a much heavier plate that not only acts as the seal retainer, but holds the bottom of the column in place, so the outer bracket & clamp isn't needed.

Right, the original outer bracket and clamp isn't needed to mount the tilt columns.

Ah, OK. Thanks for the update. So apparently the '73-'77 trucks used the same outer bracket as our trucks, but the '78-'79 trucks didn't, using the interior plate instead. Now we know!

i used a outer bracket from a 74 when i did my m/s to p/s swap on my 70 and it fit perfectly. i used my existing m/s auto column. had to take it apart cut out a couple of inches and weld back together. oops i didnt take off enuff the first time and had to take it back out and cut off a little more. it is right now and it is still original column. i could not have done all that had it not been for all the imformation you guys put on here. i would have been still scratching my head thanks guys this site rocks. sorry for rambling but i got caught up in the moment.
