a thought on swapping disc brakes

Post by fordman »

the thought i had came up when bettyford was trying to identify his disc brakes. the thought i had was instead of having to use the arm off of the back of the spindle for the 73-79 swap why not unbolt the arm off of the drum brake spindle and use that to hook up your old steering linkage. that way you could save two hassles. one would be the parts mismatch if you didnt get the 73-79 steering linkage. and you wouldn't have to try and match your pitmanr arm to the 73-79 linkage. this is just a thought. i dont know if the arms on the drum brake spindle will botl onto the disc brake spindle. but if it does it sure would save some bull.
