I haven't actually tried this, but I don't believe it'll work. The '77 has different-size kingpins, and the spindle is what you'd need to swap over. You could swap over the entire suspension, since it'll be a bolt-on, but then of course you'd have a 5-lug setup in front.
While I agree that 'free' is always good, in this case it's not really going to help you out much. You're just going to have to find an F250 to use as a donor, so that everything will bolt up correctly.

NO. I found this out myself this past weekend when I got a set of F250 I-beams and spindles from Keith. The F250 spindles are much beefier than the F150 spindles. Jamie, I had a 72 F250 As a parts truck a while back. It had disc brakes on the front. They were the duel piston type. Maybe you can luck up and find one of these in a yard somewhere and swap them over.
