Mustang II front end swap.

Post by mrtleavitt »

So the 428 really gets the old '69 F100 moving pretty good. Now I think it's time to improve the handling a bit. I've been looking at the idea of a Mustang II frontend to put under it. Most of the ones I've seen list 11" brakes with the upgrade option of 12" or 13". Is there going to be a huge difference between stopping power of an 11" brake and 13" brake?

Do a crown vic swap it practically bolts in by comparison, and if you can get the cop version they have around 12" disks. Plus the better part some guys say they got them complete for less then $400 complete. A comperable M2 set-up your looking at $4000+ for basically the same stuff.

I have a 460 I need to make a home for so I am doing my research before I do whatever.
