i'm mad now

i broke my donor wihshield on removal. now i have to find another one. i think buddy is going to use his donor so i can't get one from him.

don't feel bad! I just did the same thing with my donor windshield last week! one of the first trucks I had run across woth a perfect windshield, and I had to try and save the rubber instead of cutting it out. :cry:

i was doing it as practice i guess i should have cut it out. thats another $ out of pocket

Years ago I was replacing my 69's windshield and for practice tried to remove the old without cracking it--it had a bunch of stars in it in very visual places. By the time I got it out it was cracked all over. Since then I always CUT the gasket type out! Much easier --but obviously the gasket is sacraficed!!

all these window guys does anybody know if wiper makes can be buffed out of a windshield

maybe all you can do is try. i would think they make a glasss polish kind of like a rubbing compoud for paint. but i don't know for sure.
