Transfer Case Trouble

Post by 1jrpoole »

Hello, I have a 72' F250 4x4. The transfer case will jump out of 2H into neutral under load and hard acceleration. Can someone send me in the right direction? Thank you.

Thank you for the information. I have been researching a lot and I have decided to upgrade to NP205. Do you think 650.00 for a rebuilt NP205 is a good deal? Thanks again.

All depends on your skills.

A rebuild kit is $130.

What does a good core cost. Add your time to rebuild and you decide.

Jeffs wants $699 plus shipping for a rebuilt, $250 for used.

Seems like the $650 is not out of line.

Good luck!
