New Wheel Bearings

Post by rlgrantjr »

I've had a lot orf road noise and vibration since i got the truck last year.
I finally got around to looking at the front wheel bearings and the right front
was toast. I replaced both sides and man what a difference, much less noise
and no more vibration.

I am experiencing what seems to be some road noise like you describe. I jacked up the front end and rotated the tires by hand but didn't notice any play or noise. I was wondering what your experience was in this regard. Did you test the wheels like this or did you have to disassemble the wheel bearings to see they were bad?

Thanks,

Chris

there are alot of things that can make noise when going the down the road. bearings are 1 thing. king pins or worn steering could be another. loud tires could be 1 also. some tires just make noise when they roll. could you be more specific?
