Replacing tie rod ends

Post by 91Bear »

How hard of a job is it? Do I need to replace the Pitman arm along with them? What tools do I need?

tools: a pickle fork or a tie rdo seperator.
pitm arm is a seperate piece than the tie rods.
the tie rods unscrew from the sleve on one side and i think the other side is a complete bar assembly.

Either measure or count the threads on the old tie rods before you pull them out, (then match that when you put the new ones in). This will get you close enough to drive it, but you should have it aligned afterwards.
You can also check your own toe-in / toe-out pretty easily.
