anotherbigeater, I'm interested in your shift tube differential measurements. Your's is the only post I've seen after days of searching on many forums that comes close to the dimensions that I see on my own shaft shift tube. Although I must say my project is wholly different. I have a 73 f100 360 with 3 spd manual column shift and P/S and my original (assumption) shift tube is totally toast, it is wallowed out where the upper shift lever connects inside the shift collar. anyway my original shift tube measures 26 15/16. and the replacement shift tube I purchased that supposedly fits my application is 28 1/5" for a delta of 1.563" which is what you got for your manual vs. power steering shift tube measurements. my question is from what steering columns did you pull your manual and power steering shift tubes from, because I've been having a hell of a time finding the right replacement shift tube, and If I knew the application then I might be able to find the right replacement. thanks.
