Good morning!

Please forgive me if this truck has already appeared on FORDification before--I don't remember seeing it here.

It was featured on the April 2008 edition of the 67-79 Ford Truck catalog from Dennis Carpenter, on the back cover. In addition to being an outstanding lowered Bumpside, this is my FAVORITE shade of yellow!

I wrote Dennis Carpenter to get more information on this truck, and heard that they'd photographed it at a car show in Michigan, but didn't know anything about it other than that. Too bad--I wanted to know the exact paint that was used on this truck!

Click on the photo for a full-sized edition (including the entire back cover of the catalog):

It's been a while since we've seen it, but I remember the clever title of the spread was "The LONG Ranger".

The color is listed as Sherwin Wiliams '05 Ford Speed Yellow.

Mike, thank you so much for posting that URL and letting me know the color code!

As so often happens with color reproduction, the shade of yellow that appears in the web article looks much darker (more orange) than the shade that appeared in the physical printout I had. So I guess I'll ask the paint place to make the color based on the printout, since that's the shade I'm most interested in!

I'd say more but I don't want to clutter up and de-rail this wonderful thread! The color's being discussed in, 390FE (406ci) for #50, built by Tom Lucas at FE Specialties.

Thanks again for your excellent, resourceful response Mike!

What a BEAUTY! Do you have any info on it? ...Hey TD & BlackPearl, check out the front bumper!...Looks like a modified Econoline rear bumper...?
Check out the shaved drip rails, the very tight hood gaps, the groovy rear view mirror, & what looks like a tapered nose & bucket seats!
....I also dig the SHELBY-like wheels!... :hmm: Looks like Coy's c-67's?...[/quote]

i think if i am looking right, that hood is off a 73'-79' truck???
if i ever did a color change it would be a shade of blue
i would like to see more of this truck

I got these off ebay, I linked them straight from the listings. When the listings are over, will the pics disappear? I saved them, as usual, but its just easier to direct link.

I can finally post mine. Even though it's not extremely low, it is lower than it was stock...
