my steering box is some sort of orange. is this the correct color for a 71 steering box?

maybe it is primer. cause there is still black on it when i thought it was dirt and grime washing off.

That sounds like chebby orange to me that someone put on it.

Better get it off of there man, that's a bad omen on a Ford truck.

i doubt it is cheby orange. what i noticed is that it is only on the box. nowhere else, so it's not rattle can. i believe it is the actual color of the box. the box itself without the steering column connected to it is real nice. no slop. maybe it is a rebuilt one. who knows?
