Re: Wolf0r's 1972 F100 Build Update
Fixed pix. I had moved them to a diff dir. The engine is out of a 1987 Crown Vic, ran like a top 54k actual miles. It's installed already, I just gotta take more pix. I need to have a p/s line made and get the fuel and transmission lines ran. Most of the electronics will be bolted to the fenders so I have to get all that crap refinished first. I decided to give the AOD a try. I am not gonna tow nothing and my gear ratio is very close to the vicky's. Looking for some shorty 5.0 headers because my full lengths get in the way. I have the cast iron manifolds bolted on for now. Thinking about doing a "Lightning" style exhaust out both sides. More soon...

I like the exhaust idea. Thats my pic of locations. Like those comparison pics too. What do you plan to do to finish the inners and rad support? Paint? Bare? Clear? Just getting ideas for mine.

Is 3:00 gears in the rearend with OD in a heavy truck with a 5.0 not going to be to high? Even if it's a pretty healthy 5.0.
Just wondering.

Re: Wolf0r's 1972 F100 Build Update
I just got back on to do some research on this swap. Trying to line up and get things painted b4 putting the engine back in. I decided against the AOD and have a fresh C6 to put in. If the ratio sucks I'll build another hog head being this one is a non locking. I have to get this MOFO done, I can't wait.
