One of my top 5 all time favorites.
Very few guitarists have a sound so unique you can tell its them just by the sound of the guitar. Mark Knopfler is one of them.

I generally like heavy metal for the most part, but Dire Straits is still one of my all time favorite bands. If you can find it, check out the Notting Hillbillies. It was post Straits Knopfler with Chet Akins. Good mellow stuff.

love it - i lived in North Tyneside, in Tyne and Wear, England. - Whitley Bay - they had a fun park called Spanish City - which is what the song Tunnel of Love is about
