I guess thats what its called...I need a new one or a better one..do they make new ones or is this a junk yard item? Thanks!

You can get reproductions, but IMO they're not as good as OEM, which uses thicker steel. While '67-'72 radiator supports aren't really easy to find these days, you can easily use a '73-'79 version. They're almost identical (very slightly different in appearance), and simply require a few additional holes drilled to mount the grill.

well...I broke off the bolt that holds on the radiator support on...I have used penatrating oil and everything else except heat....how do you get these suckers out??? :help: :hmm: :pout:

You mean you broke off one of the two large bolts which hold the radiator support to the frame?

If you broke the head off, that's no problem. As long as you remove the other bolts, you can then just lift the support off the frame, and then you'll have to probably cut the bushing off the frame and replace it. It's very rare that those can be saved, they're usually pretty rusted.

yes..thats what happen..one end was off ,the other bolt I couldn't get loose..so I looked at the rad. support..it was rusted through in 3 places...so I went and bought a sawsall and cut it in half..so now I'm looking for a good support..
