compression test with oil

Post by stephen44 »

This is probably a dumb question - but here goes.

If my 352 has 140 Psi in 7 cylinders and 90 in the last that goes up to 137 with oil. what will that do to everyday running ?

what will i see or feel ?

- Stephen
thanks

You will most likely notice a skip on that one cylinder.

It's got to do with the rings.

If you've got a broken ring, and continue to drive it, the ring could cause significant damage to the cylinder wall.

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???

That's not an oil leak :nono: That's SWEAT from all that HORSEPOWER!!
