Has anyone ever pie cut their stock I-beams and rewelded/boxed to lower their truck? I see it all the time on raised prerunners,so why cant it be done to lower them? Thanks

I have heard of a lot of people talking about cutting the ibeams but have never seen it done to lower our trucks. Try it and post pics.
You can pay more but you cant buy better.

I think if you do it the way they do to raise the trucks the ibeam may have clearance issues with the crossmember and frame. My djm beams hit my crossmember
when i let all the air out of my bags. I ended up cutting my cross member so the beams could have room to move and go lower.

ive talked to guys who (back in the day before there was such thing as aftermarket parts) would cut 2 coils off their springs and have a frontend shop cold bend the beams to compensate for the negative camber created by the spring cut

mine has the coils cuts i'd have to go dig out the pieces i trimmed to be sure exactly how much but round about 2 haven't had the beams bent yet but it's comming.marz68 wrote:some one here already did that, ill have to look for the picture.
