Thanks AND one more carb question

Post by goddesz »

I wanted to thank you all for the tips, after fiddling and all, Daizy is running and idiling much more smoothly now, she's idling just a bit high (~1300 rpms) but thats a lot better than before and were not stalling at lower rmps (just a touch cranky when still cold)

HOWEVER, I have found this sweet spot on her where she just runs, drives, idles and sounds like a dream, but if I move the choke (its manual) literally .060's (I used my gapping thingie! lol!), she'll die...

why 'cause? -Desz

NM5K - if you say STILL re-rebuild... :shh: not listening... I'm not listening... Do you know what happens as you are trying so oh so cautiously place your carb parts in "exploded diagram order" only to touch the old float and have it go "sproing" across the room so there is NO WAY you could ever remember how it goes back in place??? Skinny little white chick starts dropping numerous loud f-bombs!
Don't they have books that say:
If your truck goes Chub-a-chub-erp-phlp: see page 4;
If your truck goes Chub-a-chub-bub-boom: see page 9;
