I got 3 total rods but I figured it out. He gave me the wrong one, i went to junk yard and got real one. But the linkage thats on the tranny isnt the right linkage, does anyone have the right one for a column shift on a c4? Plus I need that rubber grommet that holds the rod into the shifter lever.

Alright guys, So I did a little bit of adjustment, and slight bending of the rod. I got it working, and it shifts correctly now. But I still need that rubber grommet, because I just drilled a hole and stuck a cotter pin in it, but I would really like a that rubber grommet for a 73-79 era shift lever if anyone can steer me in the right direction.

I was looking for that bushing as well. It is a bushing that doubles as a retainer clip for the end of the rod.
Part number, available from Ford, is: EOSZ-7341-B. It is called an insulator on the package.

I bought mine in early July of this year. If the dealer doesn't have them on hand, he can order them.
