Spark Plug Selection

Post by bjde0b »

I have a 68 302 block. The heads are from a 78. The spark plugs that were in it were Autolite 26's, but when you select the plug by application (based on heads) it says 25.

Short story is I bought 8 new 26's and I want to know if they will work.

spark plug length and heat are the major faxtors in using a spark plug. if the leght is fine i would check the heat ratign of it. im guessing they are probably resistor plugs so that you wont have to worry about.

Previous owner probably bought a hotter plug to make it "run better". I'd go with the 25's if it was me.
