Spark plug gap using electronic ignition

Post by krumpelsaurusrex »

Does the factory reccomendation for the spark plug gap increase when using an electronic ignition vs points? I was under the impression that the gap for my Mallory electronic ignition system was increased over the ford reccomendation using points.

What is your reccomendation for electronic ignition?

I am using a Dura-spark distributer and an HEI 4 pin module. I run around .045 with Motorcraft plugs and it runs great.
